The Seattle Times published a map on its Web site earlier today, illustrating primary election results for King County executive broken down by precinct.

According to the color-coded map, which can be viewed at Seattle Times election map , Rep. Fred Jarrett won in every sector of Mercer Island except for one neighborhood in the northeast corner of the Island, south of the I-90 corridor, which favored Susan Hutchison. More than 35 Eastside neighborhoods, including pockets of Bellevue, Newcastle and Issaquah, voted for Jarrett, who garnered 12 percent of the Aug. 18 vote.

Former KIRO news anchor Susan Hutchison, who won the primary with 33 percent of the vote, earned support in the suburbs and rural areas that surround Seattle. King County Councilmember Dow Constantine swept the majority of Seattle voters, according to the map, in particular the University District, Capitol Hill and Wallingford. Constantine came in second in the primary with 27 percent of the vote. Constantine faces Hutchison in the Nov. 3 general election.

Ross Hunter, who along with Jarett represents Eastside voters in the state Legislature, received support in neighborhoods throughout North Bellevue, including Medina and Clyde Hill. Larry Phillips won parts of Magnolia and Ballard, which he represents as a King County Council member.
