The Mercer Island Thrift Shop is extending it’s hours and starting Jan. 6 will be open on Sundays.
“Extending the hours of the Thrift Shop to include Sundays is something residents have asked about for years,” said Youth and Family Services (YFS) Director Cynthia Goodwin. The extended hours will also allow YFS to continue to meet the high demand for mental health counseling, school counselors, emergency assistance and other services provided by the department which are funded in part by the store.
The store’s new hours will be Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
Donations will be accepted Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
