Mercer Island’s ‘Food Revolution’ dinner is Oct. 3

The Mercer Island Food Revolution invites families to take a night off from cooking and attend a delicious community dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church.

The Mercer Island Food Revolution invites families to take a night off from cooking and attend a delicious community dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church. The featured chef is Mercer Island’s own Kurt Dammeier, owner of Bennett’s and Beecher’s Handmade Cheese. Dammeier will be preparing a full-course, delicious, nutritious family meal celebrating the fall harvest.

Dinner will be topped off with a delicious treat from Rusty’s Famous Cheesecake. The event will also include live music, children’s activities and educational information.

Tickets are $10 per individual, $25 per family and $5 for seniors. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.mifoodrevolution.org.

Mercer Island Food Revolution is made up of representatives from Mercer Island PTAs and other parents interested in promoting healthier food options for kids.
