Special to the Reporter

Mercer Trade Inc. (MTI) students will host the Mercer Island Community Holiday Tree Lot with Mercer Island Youth & Family Services (MIYFS) along with the staffing of other community organizations beginning on Nov. 26.

The lot will be located at Mercer Island Presbyterian Church (3605 84th Ave. SE) throughout three weekends (Nov. 26-Dec. 11), from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. There will be trees, holiday decor, hot chocolate and more.

This event is 100% volunteer run with participants from Mercer Island School District, National League of Young Men, Boy Scouts of America, National Charity League, Burao Academy of Science and Technology, Mercer Island Presbyterian Church and more.

All proceeds benefit the MIYFS Foundation and MTI, which is a capstone business class at Mercer Island High School, full of dedicated business students thriving to be purpose-driven entrepreneurs, according to a press release.

“We are staffing and managing the Mercer Island tree lot to benefit community organizations by selling trees and MTI products. There is a wide selection of trees to choose from as well as wreaths and garlands. Come support your community by buying a tree for your family or friends during the holidays,” the release added.
