MI Art Uncorked on tap Sept. 7

Art Uncorked will unleash wine tasting, art, music and food on Sept. 7 in downtown Mercer Island.

The Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce-presented event will feature 20-plus Washington state wineries and take place from 3-7 p.m. at the Greta Hackett Outdoor Sculpture Gallery along Southeast 78th Avenue and Sunset Highway. Wines poured will be available for purchase at a 10% discount.

On the live music front, Bryon Street Swing will perform at the age 21-plus event that will include juried artists showing and selling their paintings, sculptures and more in booths. Food-wise, several trucks will provide everything from snacks to full meals and will be joined by two sweet treat vendors. There will also be plenty of festive photo opportunities and yard games.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the DECA scholarship program and Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Foundation.

Tickets for the event are $35 in advance; $45 day of the event. Each ticket includes a commemorative wine glass, tote and 10 tasting tickets. Art Patron tickets are available for $10 for those who wish to skip the wine tasting and just enjoy the event.
