Seven Mercer Island High School seniors have been named 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program semifinalists.

They are: Samara Bluming, Eliot Geer, Emily Horton King, Tong Lin, Rachel Senn, Miles Silverman and Charlotte Wood.

They are part of a group of more than 16,000 semifinalists in the 68th annual program. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,250 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered next spring.
