MIPD Chief Holmes will discuss ‘Current Challenges’ at June 6 Rotary meeting

Mercer Island Police Department (MIPD) Chief Ed Holmes will discuss “Current Challenges” at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s meeting on June 6 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center, 8236 SE 24th St. The main meeting begins at 12:30 pm. Guests are always welcome.

Chief Holmes began his law-enforcement career in 1994 with the MIPD. He worked in a variety of assignments, moving his way up through the ranks until 2006 when he was appointed to serve as chief. Prior to working for Mercer Island, he was a counselor for incarcerated youth at Echo Glen Children’s Center. He is the past president of the King County Police Chiefs and Sheriff’s Association, and the past president of the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs.
