Mercer Island Police Department (MIPD) detectives are currently following several leads after an Island armed robbery occurred on the morning of Oct. 29.

Officers quickly responded to the victim’s 911 call at approximately 11:30 a.m. near the Mercer Island Thrift Shop, MIPD reported on social media. The caller stated that the suspect robbed the victim of their cell phone at gunpoint during a meet-up to sell the phone.

“The suspect fled the scene and no one was injured,” MIPD reported.
