On the evening of June 18, an adult male driver experienced a medical emergency in the 5000 block of West Mercer Way and his vehicle halted off the roadway, according to the Mercer Island Police Department (MIPD).

His condition wasn’t available for public release and no one else was injured, MIPD noted.

Both directions of the roadway near the accident were closed for investigation and the roadway was reopened at about 9:40 p.m. that night.
