The Mercer Island School District has partnered with Costco Pharmacy to provide COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine and booster shots for students on Jan. 22 and Feb. 12 at Northwood Elementary school, 4030 86th Ave. SE.
Children ages 5-11 can receive their first vaccine doses from 8-10 a.m. on Jan. 22, and their second doses will be automatically scheduled for Feb. 12. A parent or guardian will be required to accompany the child for both doses.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 22, students ages 12 and over and staff members can receive their booster doses. They must have received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine five or more months ago to be eligible for the booster. They are asked to bring a copy of their CDC vaccination card or another vaccination record for the pharmacy to verify eligibility.
On Feb. 12 from 8-10 a.m., children ages 5-11 can receive their second vaccine doses. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on that day, students ages 12 and over and staff members can receive their booster doses.
There will be 200 vaccine doses and 600 booster doses available each day.
