MISD’s Wright honored by CityU

Jennifer Wright was awarded City University’s 2014 President’s Award for Teaching Excellence for the Albright School of Education.

City University’s 2014 President’s Award for Teaching Excellence for the Albright School of Education was awarded to Jennifer Wright. Wright is the Executive Director of Learning and Technology Services at the Mercer Island School District.

Wright, who has taught at CityU for four years,  helped develop and continues to teach the CityU course entitled, Technology for School Leaders. She earlier earned a CityU’s Principal and Administrator Professional Certification at the school.

Wright said, “It is an honor to be recognized by my peers for such an award, and I look forward to my continued association with CityU’s wonderful students and faculty.”

Wright, who has been with the Mercer Island School District for 21 years, was presented the award prior to CityU’s 39th Commencement Ceremony.

2014 Graduates

Island residents receiving degrees from Boston University in May were:

Miriam C. Maritz, Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching;

Caitlin A. Russell, Bachelor of Arts in Marine Science, Magna  Cum Laude;

David D. Kim, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management.

Isaac Lev Tobis, has graduated with a bachelor of arts, political science from  Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, June 1.
