Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense is inviting the public to “a ceremony of ‘Remembrance and Resolve’ to honor and remember the 26 lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School last year as well as the thousands of Americans lost to gun violence every single year.”

The event is set for 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, the one-year anniversary of the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, at the First United Methodist Church 180 Denny Way, Seattle.

A short program will include a congregational candlelight remembrance, a choral performance and culminate in bell-ringing to remember the victims and to demonstrate our resolve never again to be silent about gun violence.

All are encouraged to bring a bell from home in order to participate.
