Oct. 7

Burglary: A resident in the 2800 block of 75th Place Southeast believes a neighbor broke the lock on the victim’s storage unit and disrupted the belongings within.

Oct. 5

Theft: At a business in the 3000 block of 78th Avenue Southeast, a bystander witnessed two female subjects leaving the store without paying for items in their possession, the bystander believes.

Malicious mischief: In the 7600 block of Southeast 40th Street, a small hole was discovered in a window of a home under construction.

Oct. 4

Vehicle prowl: Someone broke into a vehicle and stole a garage door opener in the 7900 block of Southeast 72nd Street. “This is a good reminder that it is not best practice to keep your garage door opener to be easily discovered inside your vehicle, especially if you park outside of a secured garage,” Mercer Island Police Department notes.

Fraud: Multiple residents reported paying for services at a local business in the 3000 block of 77th Avenue Southeast and never receiving goods in return.

Oct. 3

Theft: Someone broke into a mailbox and stole two packages in the 8000 block of West Mercer Way.

Oct. 2

Vandalism: A property owner in the 6100 block of 90th Avenue Southeast reported multiple instances of vandalism.

Possible theft: A possible theft of medication was reported from a veterinary office in the 2600 block of 77th Avenue Southeast.
