On Thursday evening, Aug. 9, Aljoya Mercer Island unveils its newest and most personal art exhibit yet, with “Visual Biographies.”

“Visual Biographies” is a collaborative art project that pairs Island artists with Aljoya Mercer Island residents to tell their individual stories through multimedia art.

“Mercer Island is a community that is interested in its history,” says Community Curator Kelly Lyles, who worked to recruit Mercer Island artists for the project. “We wanted to make art that would allow everyone to see and share in the stories of these amazing people, and so many of them live at Aljoya.”
