Middle school ballfields update
In late December, the city’s contractor, Precision Earthworks, began excavation work on the South Mercer Ballfields turf project, which includes three fields in the vicinity. The company began with demolition and disposal of the existing infield surfaces and will follow up by installing new drainage, synthetic turf infields, fencing and bullpens. The contractor is working extended hours and weekends to complete the project in time for the spring 2010 season. For more information, please contact Joan Weiser, project manager, at 275-7880 or joan.weiser@mercergov.org.
