Cub Scouts will be competing in the Annual Cascade District Pinewood Derby on Saturday, April 26, at Chevrolet Cadillac Hummer of Bellevue. Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Cub Scouts from packs within the Cascade District will be racing home-built model racing cars on a special track. Pinewood Derby cars are cut from a block of wood according to strict rules and propelled by gravity. Any Cub Scout in uniform can participate. This year, a new division has been added for siblings and parents of Cub Scouts. Trophies and medals will be awarded in several divisions of competitors.
