Beginning this month, the Urban Forestry Restoration Project is an opportunity to enhance the capacity of urban forests. The project is administered by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources Urban and Community Forestry Program.

The Washington Conservation Corps team will remove English ivy, Himalayan blackberry and other noxious weeds from a section of the northwest quadrant of Pioneer Park on Mercer Island.
