Theft: A 27-year-old Issaquah man said that his Schwinn GTX Stage 3 composite bicycle was stolen from the Park and Ride on North Mercer Way.
April 30
Suspicious circumstance: A 75-year-old woman at the 6100 block of 79th Avenue S.E. reported that the key for her Mercury Marquis was missing from her key ring.
Prowling: A 48-year-old Island woman said that her unlocked vehicle was prowled overnight at the 4000 block of 92nd Avenue S.E. About $3 in change was stolen from inside.
Fraud: The Social Security number of a 50-year-old male who lives at the 2200 block of 78th Avenue S.E. was used in an attempt to file a fraudulent U.S. income tax return with the IRS.
Found property: A 26-year-old Seattle man and parks employee found abandoned property in the bushes, including two sets of key chains and three iPads in poor, non-functioning condition. One of the iPads was found to be stolen out of Issaquah, and one had an MISD owner number attached and was returned to the school district.
May 1
Warrant arrest: Two teenage boys – a 19-year-old from Seattle and a 17-year-old – were arrested at the 8100 block of North Mercer Way on felony and misdemeanor warrants. Police took a black assault rifle (airsoft) into evidence.
May 3
Burglary: A 51-year-old Island man reported that his specialized “Tarmac” bicycle was stolen from the lower level, secured parking area of the Aviara apartments at the 2400 block of 76th Avenue S.E.
Malicious mischief: The window of a vehicle belonging to a 58-year-old Island man was shattered while the car was parked in a secure garage at the 2400 block of 76th Avenue S.E. The victim said it was the third time it’s happened since he has lived there. Nothing was known to be taken.
Burglary: A 35-year-old woman who also lives at the 2400 block of 76th Avenue S.E. reported that her husband’s bicycle, a Cannondale Quick CX4, was taken from the lower level secure parking garage.
Prowling: Another Aviara resident, a 39-year-old man, reported that his locked pickup truck was prowled. Numerous tools were taken from his toolbox and possibly used to steal locked bicycles from the Aviara garage. One bicycle lock, not belonging to the prowl victim, was found in a cloth tool bag in the truck bed.
Prowling: A 54-year-old woman at the 2400 block of 76th Avenue S.E. reported that her bicycle, which was inside her vehicle, was stolen. Her drivers side front window had been shattered.
May 4
Theft: A 56-year-old Island man said that his Nikon camera and lens were stolen from a table inside the front door of his home at the 7800 block of S.E. 73rd Place, for a loss of about $3,000.
Fraud: Someone used the identity of a 63-year-old man and his 62-year-old spouse, who live at the 3800 block of 76th Avenue S.E. to file a fraudulent tax return.
Warrant arrest: A 25-year-old Island man who lives at the 4500 block of 89th Avenue S.E. was found to have a local misdemeanor warrant after being stopped by police at the 9600 block of S.E. 36th Street.
May 5
Prowling: A 47-year-old man at the 4800 block of 88th Place S.E. said that his two unlocked vehicles were unlawfully entered. No damage was reported and no items were reported missing from the vehicles. Two people left the victim’s driveway in a newer, white Mercedes or Prius-looking sedan, according to a neighbor.
Theft: A suspect entered an open attached garage at the 8100 block of West Mercer Way and stole a vehicle, a Scion xB, which was entered in WACIC for impound for processing.
Prowling: A 42-year-old woman left her car unlocked at the 4800 block of 88th Place S.E., and someone unlawfully entered it and stole pairs of sunglasses and a leather purse containing gift cards, loose change, jewelry and makeup, for a loss of about $585. There was no damage to the car.
Prowling: A unlocked vehicle belonging to a 66-year-old woman and parked at the 7400 block of S.E. 71st Street was prowled. A few personal items and plastic tubes with over-the-counter medications were taken. The victim may have security video of the incident.
Prowling: A 48-year-old woman at the 4800 block of 88th Place S.E. said that her unlocked vehicle was prowled and several items were stolen.
