School Board to meet March 11
The Mercer Island School District Board of Directors will hold its first meeting of March this Thursday, beginning at 7 p.m. in the district’s administration building.
On the agenda this week, the board plans to discuss the facilities planning process, as well as the district’s technology plan and review the high school’s senior culminating project.
In light of possible changes to the district over the next decade, MISD has begun planning for the future of its facilities, beginning with a town hall meeting with neighbors of the district’s North Mercer campus, which houses the high school and administration building.
There will be an all Island town hall at MIHS on Saturday, May 1, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. to gain feedback from residents.
The board will also hear a preliminary review of the high school’s culminating project, a state requirement for graduation.
