School district hosting two K-2 literacy information sessions Oct. 16

Sessions to be held at PEAK, Islander Middle School.

The Mercer Island School District will host two, one-hour information sessions on kindergarten through second grade literacy on Thursday, Oct. 16.

“We want to provide an opportunity for families to learn more about the district’s new kindergarten through second grade curriculum, how to support their students at home and to discuss future plans for grades three, four and five,” said MISD Director of Learning Services Fred Rundle.

The morning session will be Thursday, Oct. 16, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at PEAK, located at the Mercer Island Boys and Girls Club. The evening session will be Thursday, Oct. 16 from 7 – 8 p.m. at the Islander Middle School library
