School district seeks volunteers to give input to school architectural team

District is seeking members of the community to provide input as planning moves forward.

The Mercer Island School District is seeking members of the community to provide input to the architectural team as the district moves forward with facility development planning.

After the Mercer Island School Board unanimously approved a $98.8 million bond in September, the design team is moving from the conceptual design phase to the design development phase. Those interested in volunteering should send their interest to MISD Chief Finance/Operations Officer Dean Mack at dean.mack@mercerislandschools.org by Friday, November 1.

The bond is scheduled for a February 11 election by Mercer Island voters. If successful, the bond would authorize funding for building a new elementary school, expanding Islander Middle School and building additional classrooms at Mercer Island High School.
