After following a carjacking suspect from Seattle onto Mercer Island, Seattle police officers quickly apprehended the suspect on the afternoon of April 7. Mercer Island police responded briefly to assist with traffic control while Seattle officers cleared their mid-Island scene near Island Crest Way, according to the Mercer Island Police Department’s social media post.
