Thanksgiving Lunch is November 21,

Join old and new friends at the Mercer Island Community and Events Center for the Senior Services annual Thanksgiving Lunch between noon and 1 p.m., Nov. 21. Traditional favorites including roast turkey with all the trimmings will be served. Registration is required. Transportation is also available. Reserve your spot and a ride by Nov 15 by calling  275-7609. Cost is $5.

Trip to museum includes stop at candy store

Plan ahead for a trip to the Washington State History Museum and lunch at the Tacoma waterfront between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Nov. 22. Enjoy a non-host lunch at the Harmon Brewery.

On the way back to the Island there will be a stop at the Brown and Haley Candy store, home of the world-famous Almond Roca and Mountain Bars. Bring money for lunch and purchases. Organizers say wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and good walking shoes.

Fee: $20 + tax (includes museum admission). Bring money for lunch.
