May 26

Fraud: A victim in the 2400 block of 84th Ave. SE purchased $6,000 in gift cards and provided card numbers to a caller at 6:15 p.m. to avoid the threat of being deported.

Warrant arrest: Kirkland police arrested a suspect with a Mercer Island misdemeanor warrant. The suspect was transported to Issaquah Jail and booked into custody.

Fraud: A victim in the 4600 block of 84th Ave. SE reported $1,100 in fraud charges at 11:37 a.m.

May 28

Robbery: A Clyde Hill man said an unknown male hit him in the face in the 3000 block of 80th Ave. SE at 4:14 a.m., and his car was taken. The vehicle was located several blocks away using tracking technology.

Malicious mischief: The Mary Wayte mailbox was kicked over and damaged, but no mail was stolen. The incident was reported at 7:18 a.m.

Theft: At 9:10 a.m., a generator was reported stolen from an exposed carport in the 2400 block of 72nd Ave. SE. The serial number was available.

May 30

Harassment: A victim in the 3700 block of 88th Ave. SE had been receiving “flirty” text messages and nude images from the same phone number. The messages continued despite the victim telling the texter they had the wrong number. Six messages were received in the past couple weeks between the hours of 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. The incident was reported at 7:36 p.m.

May 31

Assault: A witness saw a male and female assaulted by two other males at the Auto Spa at 5:59 a.m. The female left with the two males in the vehicle. A follow-up welfare check for the female and the suspect vehicle by other agencies was negative.

Burglary: Construction tools were reported stolen from a project site in the 3200 block of Proctor Lane at 7:24 a.m., for a loss of $50,000.

Extortion-blackmail: A victim in the 4500 block of E. Mercer Way said at 10:45 a.m. that she received a letter demanding payment of $500 with a threat to lien her property if it is not paid. The woman is trying to sell her property and is concerned that the scam may interfere with the sale.

Minor, liquor violation: A juvenile male was contacted at 3:27 p.m. in the 7700 block of SE 58th St., and was unable to stand. He was treated by the Mercer Island Fire Department and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Found property: An Island man found a wallet in the road in the 2600 block of 77th Ave. SE at 9 p.m.
