Shorewood Apartments residents on Mercer Island have been impacted by persistent water-pressure issues over the past week and Seattle Public Utilities and apartment staff are working to fix the problem within their systems.
According to a city of Mercer Island press release, residents have also been experiencing some temporary water outages.
The city does not service Shorewood, which is directly handled by Seattle Public Utilities, the release added. The city is providing assistance to restore functioning water service, and the apartment complex staff is working with its private plumbing provider and Seattle Public Utilities technicians.
“Shorewood property management had previously informed residents that the water-pressure issue was related to a city of Mercer Island infrastructure project in an adjacent area, however there is no physical connection between these systems,” the city said.
