Learn more about Destination Imagination at upcoming orientation meetings

Mercer Island School District has had over 10 years of successful participation in Destination Imagination (DI), an international, creative, problem solving program for students in grades 4-12.

Students are put into teams of five to seven students and work collaboratively throughout the year. Several Island teams attended the regional competition and the Global Finals this past year.

Three parent orientation meetings have been scheduled in order to introduce this extracurricular program. Learn more about DI by going to destinationimagination.org and clicking on the tab labeled “Get Involved,” and then “Parents Start Here.”

High school, middle school and elementary families may attend any of the nights. If you have any questions, please contact Mark Headlee at di@mercerislandschools.org.

Meeting choices are as follows:

Thursday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. at Islander Middle School, Room 408

Monday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. at Island Park Elementary, Library

Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. at West Mercer Elementary, Room 14
