Mercer Island’s Girl Scout Cadette Troop 46755 picked up trash at the Mostly Music in the Park event on Aug. 11 as the culminating project for its Girl Scout Bronze Award. Deputy Mayor David Rosenbaum joined the troop at Mercerdale Park for its “Slam Dunk the Junk” event. The troop’s poster at its booth read, in part: “Help us pick up the trash. If everyone pitches in and does their part, the environment can be clean!
