Gym dedicated to Pepple Jan. 8

On Jan. 8, Mercer Island High School, Mercer Island School District and Mercer Island boys basketball booster club will dedicate the high school gymnasium to former MIHS coach Ed Pepple.

The gym will be dedicated during a presentation beginning at 7:30 p.m., prior to the boys varsity basketball home game against Bellevue High School.

Arrive early as a large crowd is expected.

Currently, four locals have been confirmed: J.R. Celski, in speed skating; Nicole Joraanstand, in curling; Christian Niccum, in doubles luge; and Apolo Ohno, in speed skating.
