Islanders swim beats Lake Washington
The Mercer Island boys swimmers downed Lake Washington in a league meet, beating the Kangaroos by 100 points, 141-41.
The Islanders, currently undefeated in the season, hosted Bellevue yesterday, a key meet for the Islanders this season, and will travel to Bainbridge on Thursday for the team’s second to last meet of the regular season. Mercer Island will return home for the final regular season meet on Tuesday, Jan. 26, against Inglemoor.

Gymnastics edges out Lake Washington
In their first home meet of the season, the Mercer Island girls gymnastics squad beat Lake Washington, 142.25-139.35, last Thursday at Mercer Island High School.
The team, which will host Inglemoor on Thursday night at MIHS, swept the top three spots in the beam competition, took second and third in the floor, and was second overall in the vault.
The Islanders will travel to Bothell on Jan. 28 for the last regular season meet of the year, before the KingCo meet on Feb. 2 at Mount Si High School.
