This upcoming weekend, July 13 through July 16, the State Route 520 bridge will be closed for construction and the annual inspection.

The bridge will close at 11 p.m. on Friday, July 13 and will reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, July 16.

Drivers across Interstate-90 and on Mercer Island should be prepared for heavier traffic during the closure.

Due to the closure the Express Lanes on I-90 will be open in the westbound directions on Saturday, July 14 from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. before changing to eastbound by 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, July 15 the express lanes will go in the westbound direction from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. before changing to eastbound by 3 p.m.

The next possible weekend closure for SR 520 is Aug. 10-13.
