Street closures during Mercer Island’s Summer Celebration!

During the city’s annual Summer Celebration! festival, various downtown streets will have limited access or will be closed. • S.E. 32nd Street from 78th Avenue S.E. to 77th Avenue S.E., and 77th Avenue S.E. from S.E. 29th Street to S.E. 32nd Street, will be closed from 7 a.m. on Friday, July 9, to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 11. • Food booths will line S.E. 32nd Street from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 11. • The northbound lane of 78th Avenue S.E. from S.E. 27th Street to S.E. 32nd Street will be closed from 9:45 a.m. to about 11:30 a.m., and the intersections of S.E. 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th and 32nd Streets will be closed along 78th Avenue S.E. during the same time for the festival parade.

• Food booths will line S.E. 32nd Street from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 11.

In addition to the Island road closures, all lanes of I-405 will be closed between Maple Valley Highway and SR-167 from 2 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, and 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 11, while crews remove Benson Bridge in Renton.
