Several streets in the Town Center area of Mercer Island will be close on Friday afternoon for the Mercer Island High School homecoming parade.

The parade, with the theme of “Tropic Like It’s Hot”, will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19 in Mercerdale Park, loop down to S.E. 27th Street and back up 80th Ave. S.E. to the Park. During the parade the streets on the parade route, and the cross streets will be closed, including: S.E. 30th Street, S.E. 29th Street and S.E. 28th Street.

After the parade the community is invited to the MIHS football game against Mount Si starting at 7 p.m. at the high school.
