Aug. 12

Fraud: A resident in the 5600 block of 80th Avenue Southeast contacted her bank after receiving a fraudulent text message from someone claiming to represent her bank. It was a confirmed scam attempt with no financial loss.

Malicious mischief: Someone broke into a locking mailbox in the 7600 block of Southeast 40th Street. Unknown loss.

Aug. 11

Malicious mischief: Someone pried open locked mailboxes in the 3500 block of 90th Avenue Southeast. Unknown loss.

Aug. 10

Rock throwing: A resident in the 2200 block of 60th Avenue Southeast reported that someone threw a large rock at the victim’s windshield.

Aug. 9

Weapons complaint: A resident in the 3200 block of Shorewood Drive called 911 to report individuals wearing camouflage and holding long guns in the complex. Dispatch and officers quickly determined the individuals were filming a movie and had posted signs around the property to notify residents in advance.

Aug. 8

Vehicle theft: Someone stole a vehicle from a carport in the 9400 block of Southeast 52nd Street. The vehicle was recovered the following day missing valuable belongings that were inside the car when the theft occurred.

Aug. 7

Burglary: Someone swiped tools from a construction site in the 7600 block of Southeast 22nd Street.

Fraud: A resident in the 9800 block of Southeast 42nd Place reported that someone stole their identity and used it to open a new cell phone account.

Aug. 6

Theft: A shoplifter was detained and stolen items were returned to the store in the 7800 block of Southeast 28th Street.
