The blotter consists of officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in Mercer Island. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Tuesday, March 13
Harassment/Threat to Kill: The reporting party reported a subject he had a prior history with possibly stopping to threaten him on his motorcycle. Male on motorcycle made a gun with the fingers on his right hand, demonstrated a firing motion, and then sped away from the area. The reporting party felt he knew who it was but couldn’t provide any information for a positive ID.
Prowling: A vehicle was prowled overnight in secured parking garage on the 2400 block 76th Ave. Southeast.
Monday, March 12
Prowling: The victim’s unlocked vehicle was entered on the 2600 block of 76th Ave. Southeast, their Wallet and other personal items were taken.
Burglary: Suspects forced entry into victim’s residence on the 4600 block of West Mercer Way and stole several items.
Thursday, March 8
Burglary: A storage unit was rummaged through on the 4100 block of 81st Ave. Southeast and items were taken.
Monday, March 5
Theft: Two male suspects stole four bottles of liquor from a location on the 7700 Block of Southeast 27th St.
Sunday, March 4
Burglary: An under construction house on the 4700 block 91st Ave. Southeast was burglarized while the homeowners were out of town.
Friday, March 2
Fraud: The victim sent money through “Zelle” to purchase show tickets on Craig’s List. The unknown suspect ended communications after receiving the money.
Friday, Feb. 23
Malicious Mischief: The reporting party found what he believes was a tree in the park that was damaged to an extent that it won’t survive. He also found some syringes that could be related.
