Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of our chlorinated hearts for extending the funding for the Mary Wayte Pool over the next two years.

As you know, the pool is much used but also much in need of repairs and upkeep. It will be wonderful to see these changes take place.

The pool couldn’t have had better publicity than the triumphs of the Mercer Island High School boys swim team this year. For those of us who swim regularly and don’t break any records, we just appreciate a place to come and swim to keep fit and meet with our fellow swimmers.

Please consider this budget item carefully even after two years.

Northwest Center, as a non-profit organization, is never going to be rich and may always need some help from the community it serves.
