Thanks for Rotary Run results

Just wanted to say thank you for publishing the local finishers from the Mercer Island Reporter. It amazes me how many people in the last week congratulated me on the 1/2 marathon, even though it had obviously been reported right after the race. I think it highlights the fact that people might just prefer to scan the local names than anything else. But while it is fun to feel like a celebrity for a day, why I’m really glad you did end up publishing the local finishers was for the benefit of all the kids who ran their first 5k and got to see where they finished relative to their peers. I think no matter how old your are, it’s fun to see your name in print — as long as it’s not in the crime section! At any rate, thank you for providing the space during what I know are some very tight times.
