Girls’ Night Out

Girls’ Night Out, sponsored by Mercer Island merchants and the Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce, is Dec. 11. Town Center businesses will stay open late to offer goodie bags and serve treats for all. Merchants who want to join in should call the Chamber at 232-3404.

Library book sale

The Mercer Island Friends of the Library is holding a fiction book sale during regular library hours, Dec. 10-14, at the library, 4400 88th Ave. S.E.

Chamber lunch

Dr. Gary Plano, superintendent of Mercer Island Public Schools, will speak at the Chamber of Commerce lunch tomorrow, Dec. 4. The lunch will feature a brief presentation by Officer Jennifer Franklin about emergency preparedness, focused directly on business needs.
