The driver of a tractor-trailer veered off the road in the 4300 block of Island Crest Way on Oct. 5 and collided with multiple trees outside of a residence. There were no injuries.

The single-vehicle accident was reported to the Mercer Island police and fire departments at 12:26 p.m. The truck, which was hauling a vehicle transport trailer, was towed back onto the roadway. Officers are investigating the cause of the accident, during which some diesel was spilt and cleaned up.

Officers rerouted northbound Island Crest Way onto 86th Avenue Southeast after the accident took place.
