Trash service remains suspended as of Friday Jan 20

Allied Waste gradually resuming trash pick-up based on weather, road conditions

Residential collection of recycle, yard waste and garbage is again suspended today in Mercer Island due to inclement weather, as it has been since Monday.  Allied Waste/Republic Services did say that commercial accounts will be serviced on a limited basis. Residents who are missed due to inclement weather may put up to double the load out on their next regularly scheduled collection day.

During inclement weather, Allied employees evaluate the weather each day and make a decision about whether or not to run routes based on public safety and the safety of its drivers. The company urges residents to check their website for further updates regarding your recycle/yard waste/garbage collection service during inclement weather today and throughout the week at www.rabanco.com.

During inclement weather, also sends collection service updates through the Regional Public Information Network. You may sign up for free email notices at www.rpin.org.
