Tree down on East Mercer Way

Update: the blockage is clear and the road has been re-opened.

Update: The East Mercer Way blockage is now clear and both lanes are open.

Another tree has fallen at the 5600 block of East Mercer Way due to saturated soils, said Ross Freeman, city communications and sustainability manager. A similar incident happened in December 2015.

As a result, East Mercer Way is closed in both directions. City crews are onsite working, but no re-opening time is available yet.
