Let there be a tree lighting, choir music and chili on Dec. 2 on Mercer Island.

During Illuminate MI, the city and the Mercer Island Firefighters IAFF Local 1762 will present a tree lighting at 6 p.m. at Mercerdale Park and a Firehouse Munch with chili on the menu from 6:30-8 p.m. at Station 91.

Also at Mercerdale, the Mercer Island High School choir will perform at 5:40 p.m. Over at the firehouse, there will be Santa photos, an art fair and other activities.
