June 10, the opening day of the Mercer Island Farmers Market, is less than a month away.
Can you spare two or three hours on a Sunday and volunteer at the Mercer Island Farmers Market?
The market is in need of volunteers to help set up in the early in the morning, take down in the afternoon, and help with special events and floaters during the day.
It is an opportunity to see many of your friends and support farmers and the market at the same time. To find out more, come to an information and training session at 10:30 a.m., May 22, at the Mercer Island Library or at 7 p.m. on May 24, also at the library. All ages are invited to attend and sample food. For more information, email info@mifarmersmarket.org.
