On Sept. 12, Swim Across America will be hosting its first Northwest event, a swim from Mercerwood Shoreclub to Luther Burbank Park.

The proceeds will be directed to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Mercer Island High School graduate and Olympic Gold Medal winner Mary Wayte will be in attendance along with other Olympic swimmers.
