Courtney Christine Kinsman and Christian David Cordero were married on Aug. 8, 2009, at Calkins Point at Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island. A reception was held at the Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club in Bellevue. The wedding party included Allison Hamad, Mia Alkire, Jonelle Tom, Cheryl Crow (Mercer Island High School friends of the bride), Krystin and Alex Cordero (nieces of the groom), Ashlynn Shade, flower girl (cousin of the bride), Jack Shade, ring bearer (cousin of the bride), Erik Olsen, Derek Drennan, Tony Walker, Paul Zawatski, David Zawatski (friends of the groom) and Joseph Cordero (brother of the groom).

The bride graduated from Mercer Island High School in 2000, attended the University of Denver, and received a business degree from City University. She is a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. The daughter of Joanie Kinsman, of Mercer Island, and Tom and Jihl Kinsman, formerly of Mercer Island, she is employed as an account manager at Onvia.

The groom graduated from Cal-Poly at San Luis Obispo with a degree in psychology and is employed as a premier account manager at Expedia, Inc. He is the son of David and Tina Cordero, of Bakersfield, Calif.

The couple honeymooned at the Kiahuna Plantation in Kauai, Hawaii, and their first home is on Mercer Island.
