Youth Theatre Northwest will be performing Greg Plamer’s “Big Bad Wolf” in July as part of the organization’s summer stock 2010.

The play, written by Island resident Plamer, is a comedy in defense of the wolf from various fairy tales, including “Little Red Riding Hood,” “The Three Little Pigs” and “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” among others.

The show opens on July 16 and runs until July 25 with shows on Tuesday through Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., and Friday and Saturday night shows at 7 p.m.

YTN is also hosting a new Studio Stage performance series for aspiring actors and actresses ages 8 and up, as well as the main stage summer stock season for ages 10 and up.

Classes are available with a flexible schedule, allowing students to attend one week or up to three weeks of classes. New students will receive a 25 percent discount on their first class, and anyone registering for more than one class will also earn 25 percent off of tuition.
