Alma Raleigh Harris

August 1921 to October 2013

Mrs. Alma R. Harris, widowed since 1981, went to be with her late husband and daughter on October 2, 2013.

Mrs. Harris loved her children and cherished the time she spent with them. During her lifetime Mrs. Harris travelled extensively with her husband, the late Dr. Robert E. Harris, Sr., as well as her children throughout and across the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia, and in the Caribbean. As an example of her youthful spirit, she took a hot air balloon ride with her son on her 65th birthday.

Mrs. Harris is survived by Victoria A. Coleman and her son Adrian R. Lane; the Honorable Diana Harris Epps, her husband Leon R. Epps, Jr. and their two children Kahlil H. Epps and Elon H. Epps; and Robert E. Harris, Jr. and his wife Lisa D. Wirackowski-Harris.
