Betty Gardner Rosenwald died on the morning of July 6, 2009, after suffering a sequence of difficulties with the function of her heart, from which she did not recover, on July 4. Mrs. Rosenwald lived a joyful life marked by service to others and love for family and friends.

Mrs. Rosenwald is survived by her children, Randal and Cathy Gardner, Debra and Peter Robinson, and Rick Gardner; and four grandchildren, Christopher and Michael Gardner, and Ben and Graham Robinson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 10, at the Mercer Island Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 4400 86th Ave. S.E.
