Cherry M. Carson

“Blessed are those who trust in the Lord” Jeremiah 17:7-8Cherry M. Carson went to be in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on March 17, 2010. Cherry was born May 20, 1937 on a farm in Virginia. She was one of four children. Her first husband and family moved to Western WA in 1970 where they resided in Kent until her husband’s death in 1974. Cherry remarried to H.C. “Kit” Carson in 1976 and moved to Mercer Island with her 3 children joining his 6 children. While raising their combined family, Cherry earned two years of college and traveled the USA and the world. After their children were grown, they moved to Whidbey Island where she was active in her church community and enjoyed frequent visits from her 9 children, 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Cherry will be remembered by her family and friends as someone who gave them strength, who they could confide in, who was always devoted to Our Lord, who extended kindness to all who met her, and most of all was always true to her-self. Her presence and love will be sorely missed, but her spirit will always be with us and she will never be forgotten.A Celebration of Life will be held on the 17th of April, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance church in Langley.
