Darcie E. Nelson

Darcie passed away at home peacefully surrounded by family and friends on October 5, 2013 after a sudden illness with cancer. She was born in St. Paul, MN on August 8, 1969.

Preceded in death by her father, Ted Nelson. Survived by loving husband, Dale Cox and two beautiful children Lily (8) and Alden (5). Mother Shirley Nelson, sister Sue (Jeremy) Schneider and brother James (Alexandra) Nelson. In-laws Patricia Cox, Brian Cox, Gary (Karen) Cox, Penelope Cornwall. Nieces and nephews Jason and Nathan Schneider, Gabriella and Isabella Nelson, Dylan Cox and Courtney Cox.

In 1987 Darcie graduated from Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights, MN. She moved to the Seattle area in 1989. In 1998 she married Dale the love of her life. Darcie cherished her children, her family, cooking and her garden. Her love of life and sense of humor amazed us all.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Mercer Island Community Center on November 17, 2013 at 4 PM. Please join the family to remember delightful Darcie.
