Donald Ralph Davidson
February 3, 1932 – October 4, 2015
Don was born in Chariton, Iowa, the only child of Willa and Ralph Davidson. His early years were spent in the Los Angeles area.
He was in the ROTC program at UCLA and graduated with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, and served as an Artillery Instructor for his tour of duty. He was discharged with the rank of Captain.
While in college he met and married Susan, his wife of 61 years. They had three daughters, Katherine, Kelly and Kimberly. Don’s career for 23 years, was with Eaton Laboratories; first, in sales in the Los Angeles area and then in management in the Pacific Northwest, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii with headquarters in the Seattle area. When transferred, he moved his family to Mercer Island, WA to a home in which they resided for 50 years.
When retired from Eaton, he and a partner established a business, Resource Data Management. ADM developed office management programs for Medical and Dental offices and was a pioneer in that field.
Don was an avid fisherman, and hunter and enjoyed golf, tennis and boating.
He is survived by his wife, Susan and their three daughters and their families: Katherine, Kelly and Russ Cooley and grandchildren Shawn and Meghan, Kim and Jim Duren and children Jenny and James.
A family memorial service will be held.
